Transform the look of your smile with, professional tooth whitening in Greenmeadows, Napier, New Zealand

The best way to keep your teeth looking youthful and radiant is to prevent stains from forming. Stains arise when pigmented residues from foods and drinks, such as berries and coffee, build upon the teeth’ protective enamel. Additionally, enamel can thin as we get older, making our teeth more vulnerable to noticeable discolouration. Partnering with Dentiq on techniques to remove staining residues is a great way to keep your teeth looking their healthy best.

Additionally, professional cleanings at our office prevent the need for tooth whitening in Greenmeadows, Napier, New Zealand. In our trained hands, specialised instruments remove lingering stains and stubborn build-up. If you already have stains or want whiter teeth, our principal dentist, Dr. Sundar, provides treatments that are clinically proven to break up stain molecules. Under the guidance of a dentist, whitening treatment is safe and gets results that look natural and are customised to your preference.

Office whitening

The fastest way to achieve many-shades-whiter teeth is with chairside whitening at our office. The process starts by evaluating your teeth and overall oral health. Active disease must be resolved before moving forward with treatment. Also, restorations are not responsive to the ingredients in whitening solutions. So, we will discuss a treatment plan to both lighten existing restorations and surrounding teeth as needed. Alternative treatments may include stain-resistant porcelain veneers, composite bonding (or direct veneers), and porcelain crowns.

If office whitening is appropriate for you, Dr. Sundar protects the surrounding gums and tissues with a covering. The teeth are also isolated. These steps ensure the most comfortable experience during treatment, as well as even the application of the whitening solution. The whitening product is then precisely applied to the teeth. This product contains peroxide ingredients that are clinically proven and sufficiently concentrated to lift stains. You can whiten your teeth in a single visit!

Home whitening

Patients may prefer to whiten their teeth conveniently and gradually from the comfort of home. If home whitening is appropriate for you, impressions or moulds of your mouth are taken. These moulds are used to fabricate a whitening tray. We will show you how to prepare these trays. When filled with powerful whitening gel, these oral appliances slip over patients’ teeth. They deliver whitening gel evenly and comfortably to the teeth due to their precision fit. One-size-fits-all trays may become loose and rub up against the inside of the mouth. They also do not seal in the whitening gel, which can result in gum irritation and uneven results. When worn daily, patients notice that their teeth become visibly and increasingly whiter over the course of a few weeks.

Whiter teeth for life

We will also provide guidance on how to keep your teeth healthy and free of stains. Minimising or avoiding staining substances, such as tobacco products and teas, prevents stains from building up. Good oral care and routine cleanings at our office also support an attractive smile, oral health, and overall wellbeing.
